What You Can Do To Retire Early And Keep Your Mind Active.

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

Many people who near retirement age don’t look forward to this part of their life at all. They fear retiring for various reasons. Very often they don’t have enough money to retire on and they don’t know where to get the extra money from. Many people also fear the boredom of retirement. Getting up in the morning and not having anything to do can take the luster out of life.

Our modern era has brought with it something that can make a difference to both your financial situation during retirement, as well as your need to be recognized and have something worthwhile to do: blogging. The day that you retire you will have decades of experience behind you that is unique to you as a person. Think of it: nobody in the whole world has gone through exactly what you have. The different jobs you had, your marriage and other relationships, your travels. Many people would love to hear your views on all those things.

If money is the reason why you are interested: you could certainly make money blogging. There are several ways. One of them is Google Adsense. All you have to do is sign up for an account with Google and then display their ads on the pages of your blog. They will give you a share of the advertising income when someone clicks on one of the ads. Another option is an affiliate program. There are thousands of affiliate programs on the Internet. Sign up, get the code to display their banner on your pages and if someone buys a product or service from them you will get a commission.

You don’t have to do this full time. You can do it as often or as seldom as you want. The money from the ads and affiliate sales will supplement your retiring income.

Writing a blog is not just about money though. It will give you new purpose in life. People who read your blogs will often comment on what you write. The whole process is interactive. You will not only be sharing your life experience and views with other people - they will also share theirs with you. In this way you will most likely make many new friends. Some of them in far-away places. Others perhaps close enough so you could meet personally over a cup of coffee.

Another plus of keeping yourself busy this way is that it’s something you can do well into retirement age. There are numerous bloggers who are late in their seventies and even much older. As long as your eyesight allows it you can happily keep on blogging. As you grow older, your friends might not be able to visit so often, because they are also getting older and less mobile. Your new online friends will become your new best friends.

You don’t need to be physically fit to do this. You could be in a wheelchair. Even if you can no longer use your fingers to type, you can nowadays use voice recognition software to let the computer type your blog entries for you. Don’t let your voice become silent before long before it’s time - there is another way.

BREAKING NEWS: Attention all Wordpress Blog Owners

About me

I am self educated and have closely followed the evolution of Internet Marketing for just over five years. Every week I am overwhelmed with questions on my blog from people struggling with Internet marketing. Naturally my work makes me a modest ’salary’ but I have a genuine reason for doing what I do and this is to help people who are genuinely determined to earn money to support them selves and their families.

From my work I know that probably fifty percent of the Internet marketing community are honest people but the problem is a lot of these people are not very adept at what they do and teach. Up until now I have been posting my results on a small collection of blogs and sites whose owners have asked me to contribute content about my encounters to their sites.

Over 600 reviews

This represents just over six hundred ‘products’ that I have reviewed over a period of nearly five years, obviously a number of them are obsolete and I will only be including ‘products’ that are still available. I have tested all of the products I review and whilst in some cases I know the authors personally this doesn’t dissuade me from telling what I really think about what works well and what doesn’t in each product.

Simple to use and organised catalog

On my blog I will be organising the ‘products’ summaries into categories, rating each product on the level of knowledge required, detailing the prerequisites, how long you should expect to wait for results and the budget you should set.

First Edition - The ‘blueprint’ for Wordpress blog success

Wordpress Blogs are arguably the easiest way to get started in Internet Marketing so I am going to start with a set of reviews of products that can turn these search engine ’attractions’ into income makers. Everyone should have a blog and I am passionate about blogging as a major percentage of my ’monthly salary’ comes from blogs but and however I am conscious that setting up a blog can be a little bit tricky so if you join my list I will walk you through step by step how to do it.

Create once and replicate

Blogs are amazing in as much once you get a blog working correctly and earning ‘its keep’ then you simply copy it. But getting the first blog right is fundamental and this is where you need a really good understanding how to set up a ‘blueprint blog’ and what Internet Marketing ‘products’ and strategies you should use to build a robust foundation for growth and a regular income.

No bullshit, just answers.

So if you have a Wordpress blog or you want some real guidance with your choice of Internet Marketing products then please do join my list at www.backlinksclinic.com.

See you there
