Don’t Guess at Lotto; Calculate to Win

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Many people, if not most, would not think to include gambling as an appropriate subject in financial planning. However, with millions of people involved in gaming of all sorts, and billions of dollars, pounds, and euros at stake, why not? Some people gamble strictly for entertainment; but what if you want to gamble to actually produce income?

Lotto is one of the most popular forms of risking one’s money. Although no one has yet perfected the technique or the formula to second guess the winning combination, many manage to make good earnings by guessing the probable winning combinations. Some of them rely on mathematics, while others rely on intuition. The best outlook you have of cracking the winning combination depends on how you use the most vital ingredient required for every day living – commonsense.

Rather than focusing on expensive strategies that use random combinations, you should focus on possible winning combinations. This can be accomplished by simply categorizing winning combinations. If you determine, based on historical data, that the future jackpot will have more numbers from 1 to 9, then you should have combination of numbers that will include at least four numbers from 1 to 9. This way you will not have to buy increasing numbers of tickets to increase your odds of hitting the big prize. By not buying too many tickets you not only save money but also have enough to play another day which might prove to be your lucky day.

Playing in a syndicate can also be a good idea, but don’t forget– you have to share any winnings with all the members of the syndicate and this means you still have to keep your job and report back to office on the following Monday. Categorizing numbers does not take a lot of brains. What you essentially do is target a group of numbers and try out several combinations. For example: if you deduce that 1 to 9 may be the combination that you need to focus on, then your combination could be 1,4,6,9,26,30 or 1,2,5,7,36,39 or 1,3,8,11,29,45. Now in these numbers you will note that your focus is on numbers from 1 to 9 and the other numbers are ones which have an outside chance of being drawn. With this system, although you may not necessarily hit the jackpot, you will surely win decent sums of money to finance your future games, and if lady luck happens to smile on you; you can forget going to work on the following Monday.

The commonsense approach demands that you play alertly. If you are targeting the group from 1 to 9 it would be utterly foolish to draw four numbers in a series like 1,2,3,4 or 6,7,8,9 as the first four numbers; by doing this your chance of hitting the jackpot or any small prize is practically zero. This means you have already lost the game even before the winning numbers are drawn. This is akin to literally throwing away your cash.

So, the insight to winning lotto? Well, the best strategy is you should zero in on the probable winning combinations and then use common sense to arrive at the combination of six numbers. If you follow this practice every time you play, your chance of hitting the jackpot goes up dramatically. If you are going to gamble, do so intelligently, and play to win.

Finance That Vacation By Winning The Lotto

Friday, August 28th, 2009

Public and private lotteries have existed since the 1800’s all around the world. In some countries it is outlawed and in others it is very much run and regulated by the government. In some countries the lotto is both state and province wide and in others there are national and regional based lotteries. In America the lotteries are regulated state wide as there is no national lottery like, for example, in Canada with Lotto 6/49. Some may think that because there is no national lottery in the US that the jackpots are smaller but easier to come by. Well, this isn’t true there have been massive winnings recorded within the United States; in fact, the largest recorded lottery prize was won in the US. It was upward of three hundred and fifty million dollars! Now haven’t you ever dreamed of that kind of cash prize? The Michigan State Lottery has been a staple in the lottery business for many years attracting thousands upon thousands of users every week. To some playing local lottery tickets is a tradition or even a hobby. With the extreme of accessibility many people have added that trip to the corner store into their daily lives.

As well playing their tickets and choosing the lucky numbers following the results each day or week is just as important for people. The lotto results have fuse themselves into all media outlets both with major broadcast networks and online applications. For example the Michigan lotto results like any other state wide lottery results can be found in a multitude of places making it convenient to check if you won, no matter what your lifestyle is. Say you drive into work every morning listening to your favorite morning radio show, or perhaps you work in a home office where the internet is at your helm all day. No matter what your daily life consists of there will be a convenient way for you to get the results. The lottery industry gas infiltrated everything from local news shows on television to having dedicated areas in major newspapers.

To go back to our example the Michigan lottery results can be found on the internet, on television, the internet and on the radio. These days news shows and newspapers use the lottery results as a way to draw people to buying there paper or watching their broadcasts. Some of us will buy the same newspaper for our entire lives without realizing that the reason is almost solely based on the habit of checking lotto results.

Maximizing Roulette Profits

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

Many people waste a lot of time trying to learn or study some roulette secrets to try and improve their chances of being a winner at this classic casino game. However, the truth of the matter is that roulette is a game which is completely governed by chance, and there is no way to try and learn a way to manipulate the game to ensure winning. Anyone who tries to sell you a book or a method which promises to divulge secrets of roulette to you is only going to be profiting from you, not from roulette. All games in the casinos are very strictly engineered to ensure that the house has the winning edge at all times. However, there are things that you can learn to minimize your chances of losing your money, and give yourself every chance of winning some money at the casino.

The only TRUE secret to learning to win at roulette is to come to an understanding of roulette probability. All successful gambling is based on a system of learning to only put money on bets which provide favorable odds to the bettor. There is no bet in roulette which provides an advantage to the player over the house; however, there are bets which provide better odds than others. The biggest trap in the roulette game is to bet on the single number. This sucks many people in because of the potentially large and dramatic payouts, however, most of the time you will never win on this bet, and lose your money consistently.

Another important tip for roulette is to try and find a European wheel instead of an American wheel. The American wheel features a zero and a double zero slot, whereas the European only has as single zero, providing better odds.

The true secret to roulette play is to stick to the outside bets. This includes things like betting on high, middle, or low sets of numbers, betting on red or black, and betting on odds or evens. There are some situations where betting on multiple numbers on the table and placing four corner bets can be profitable, but this requires a more in depth study of the odds of the game. For the beginner, rest assured that the best bets you can place on the table are those that you will place around the outside of the betting surface, not on the interior on the single numbers.
