Finding the right house painter

Friday, August 14th, 2009

One of the most treasured assets we will ever own will be the homes we live in.  I am not just talking about financially. That is a huge part of it.But what I am talking about is the fact that this is where you call home.  It is the place you live in.It is the location of your family growing up.  It is a place where you are going to have many fond memories.

With that being how it is, obviously people are going to take great care for it.From home improvement jobs, to just keeping it tidy and in order.  One of the biggest things a family can do to their home is paint it.  I know it is a big deal to families from my experience running my own San Diego painting contractor company.

With that being the case it is extremely important to choose the right painter.A good painter can make all the difference in the world. And when it concerns dealing with one of your most prized assets, I am positive that you would think it is important as well.

So what qualities does a good painter have?  Well from my experience painting San Diego it is a few things.

First they have to be someone you can rely to do the job.  Nobody wants to hire somebody you can’t even rely upon to get the job done right. From having things done in a timely fashion. To being there everyday to work.  Hard to believe, but there are people you can hire that you
just can’t count upon.

Second is the person an artist at heart. You might be saying to yourself, what does this matter with anything. I say plenty.  Of course I am biased considering my crew of painters San Diego are like artists.  Reason I say this is because you don’t want
somebody who just whips paint onto the walls. You will want to find someone who is an artist at heart who will treat his work as such.

If you do locate a person like that, you will be very pleased. A simple painting job can turn a once plain and boring room into a vibrant room that comes alive. You can transform that old house into one that is model home quality.

Finally, you want to find somebody that truly cares about his work. How willy you be able to tell?Simple, just do a round of interviews with a few contractors. You will be able to see just who is out for the money between those that reall want to serve you and do a good job. Those with that service mindset you can rely upon to do a good job.

Follow these few steps and you will hire a good contractor.  You won’t be disappointed.

Save Time and Money When Picking a Painting Contractor

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

To most families, their home is an integral part of their lives. No only the day to day living in it, but also family times goes on there as well as those leisure times.

Well, when you do find it is time to start some work on your house, such as painting, this can be a stressful time and a disruptive time in their lives.

With that being the case, I would like to offer some advice on choosing the right painting contractor.  This advice comes from years working with homeowners and also running a San Diego painting company myself.

Now at first, picking the right painting contractor doesn’t see like it should be difficult. But if you think about the fact that this work can cost thousands of dollars if not more, and also cause a major disruption in your daily life, and of course can either result in a beautiful job or a horrendous job. This is a very big decision.

So here are some tips from my experience as a painter San Diego.

First thing, you do want to start getting quotes from several different contractors. You are not doing this just to try and get a great price. You are doing this so you will be able to get to know the company that you will be working with.Of course when you do get a great price, that’s great, but don’t let that be your driving force.Remember, you want a great job to be done.

Second, you want to know if they have any guarantees to their work.  See if the company has a strong guarantee to your satisfaction. This shows you how confident they are in the work they can do for you.

Third, you want to know how quickly they can start.  Also, you will want to get a feel on how quickly they feel they can get it done.  When you are going to cause a disruption like painting your house.  You will want to know
how fast they feel they can get things back in order.

Finally, make sure to get some testimonials from previous customers.  Contact them and see what they felt of the company.See how well they did the job, if they did it on time, and if they are a good company to work with.

Do these steps and you can ensure yourself with as little stress as possible during these very stressful times.  Take it from my years of painting San Diego, doing these few steps will help you greatly.
