An Evaluation of Four High-Quality Printers and Which One is Appropriate For You and Your Agency

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

Laser printer cartridges can be very confusing. More often than anything else, we get the inquiry, “What’s the best laser printer for me?” This isn’t an easy inquiry to answer because it depends on what you would like your printer to do. There are many different types of ink printer cartridges.Do you want an all in one laser printer, a very minimal single function inkjet printer or a compact photo printer?  What is your budget? There is also an after sale outlay that a lot of users are oblivious of; the price tag of replacement printer cartridges. We have reviewed four printers across all categories to satisfy your interest. This should present you with a starting point. If you’re interested in certain categories, printers cartridges or products, you will at least have a base level of knowledge with which to start.

HP Officejet Pro 8500- The HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless printer is an inkjet that can deal with an office situation with a high amount of printing requirements. With multiple networking options, a function touch screen and an awfully fast print speed, this is one inkjet printer that most certainly deserves consideration.

Canon Pixma MX7600-The Canon Pixma MX7600 is a multifunctional printer and this version is a good improvement over the last one. With new features such as an upgraded control cockpit, auto duplexer and a large number of faxing alternatives, the MX7600 is a very fine value.

Samsung CLP-600N-This color laser printer may make a big addition to the home-based or small workplace. It is network prepared and has the speediness and duty cycle and printing quality that is wanted. The Samsung CLP-600N prints at 20 pages per minute in both color and black and white. With a 2400×600 dpi resolution and a duty cycle of up to 45,000 prints per month makes it a good quality value. The single downside is that the duplex printing is manual, but manual is better than nonexistent.

Brother HL-5250DN- This Brother printer is network set and promises high-quality graphic and text prints for the small firm or household use. There is a good feature called a duplexer that allows you to conserve paper and the easy to follow setup instructions make setting up a snap. At 30 pages per minute output for text, the printer’s speed is good. There is simply one tiny problem and that is the paper tray. It can merely hold 300 pages which is rather small and only fitting if you’re using it for residence use or running a truly small enterprise operation.
