Maximizing Roulette Profits

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

Many people waste a lot of time trying to learn or study some roulette secrets to try and improve their chances of being a winner at this classic casino game. However, the truth of the matter is that roulette is a game which is completely governed by chance, and there is no way to try and learn a way to manipulate the game to ensure winning. Anyone who tries to sell you a book or a method which promises to divulge secrets of roulette to you is only going to be profiting from you, not from roulette. All games in the casinos are very strictly engineered to ensure that the house has the winning edge at all times. However, there are things that you can learn to minimize your chances of losing your money, and give yourself every chance of winning some money at the casino.

The only TRUE secret to learning to win at roulette is to come to an understanding of roulette probability. All successful gambling is based on a system of learning to only put money on bets which provide favorable odds to the bettor. There is no bet in roulette which provides an advantage to the player over the house; however, there are bets which provide better odds than others. The biggest trap in the roulette game is to bet on the single number. This sucks many people in because of the potentially large and dramatic payouts, however, most of the time you will never win on this bet, and lose your money consistently.

Another important tip for roulette is to try and find a European wheel instead of an American wheel. The American wheel features a zero and a double zero slot, whereas the European only has as single zero, providing better odds.

The true secret to roulette play is to stick to the outside bets. This includes things like betting on high, middle, or low sets of numbers, betting on red or black, and betting on odds or evens. There are some situations where betting on multiple numbers on the table and placing four corner bets can be profitable, but this requires a more in depth study of the odds of the game. For the beginner, rest assured that the best bets you can place on the table are those that you will place around the outside of the betting surface, not on the interior on the single numbers.

Can You Afford to Play Casino Slots?

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Playing slots on the Internet is much the same as playing slot machines in more traditional casinos. You put coins in a slot, pull a lever, and hope the same pictures on the reels all line up.  However, online slots give you the convenience of being able to play without having to leave your home, any time of the day.  And on most sites, the payout is set as high as the highest machines in Las Vegas.

Like its real life counterpart, online slots are one of the most popular casino games.  Many people find slots less stressful and easier to play than games such as blackjack and roulette. They are a simple, carefree games.  If you have never played online slots, you may want to start by finding a site that lets you play with virtual money.  That way you can familiarize yourself with the game without losing money.  Once you are comfortable playing, you can start playing with real money.

Just as with traditional slots, when playing online slots you get the potential to make money, but you also have the potential to lose money.  Check into sites to find out which have the highest payout percentage.  Many people worry that they may get cheated; but these machines are powered by random number generators, and the results of every game is completely random.

If you go to reputable sites, you do not have to worry about being cheated. The best way to avoid scams is to read reviews and try multiple sites.  Some people also worry about using their credit card online.  Again, if you do research and go to reputable site, you don’t have to worry.  Your credit card information will be sent over encrypted connections.  Just to make sure, do a spyware and virus scan on your computer before putting in your credit card number anywhere on the Internet.  Just as with factual life slots, there are different types of online slots.

Although all online slots are really just visual representations of three, and five reel slots, they all have very real slots jackpots. Do not worry about what type you play, just be sure to always have fun! You can find free slot software on sites like Blue Lake Casino, Black Bear Casino or Bet Online Casino.

Online Casino Myths Uncovered

Monday, July 20th, 2009

The fact that people don’t really understand how online slot machines work in regard to the Random Number Generator (RNG) leads players to rely on several myths to control their play. Here are four of the most common.

1. Someone hit a jackpot on the machine you just left; you would have gotten that jackpot if you kept playing. The RNG in all online slot machines is constantly calculating numbers whether the machine is being played or not, it never stops. When you press the spin button, the slot machine picks the combination at that exact given time from the RNG. If you had continued playing the slot machine, it is unlikely that you would have stopped the RNG at the ask microsecond to display that exact same combination of numbers, as the person who won. Both you and the other player would have effectively had to hit play at the exact same time that’s within 1/1000 of a second. The odds of this happening are greater than winning the jackpot. In conclusion, don’t feel bad about the player who hit the jackpot after you, it was pure lady luck and nothing more!

2. You can calculate the odds of winning by counting the symbols on each wheel. T he slot machine you are playing may have 15 symbols on each reel and by counting the symbols you would get odds of winning at 1:3,375 (15×15x15).  However, what you are missing is the virtual stops on the reel. Next time you are playing pay attention to where the symbols stop, you will notice that the symbols stop at varying positions.  These are referred to as virtual stops and there can be 100 or more per reel.  This means that at 100 stops per reel the odds of winning the jackpot is 1:1,000,000 (100×100x100) which is more in line with reality.  At odds of 1:3,375 The casino would be bankrupt in no time.

3. Casinos can transfer percentage payouts just like in land based casinos, online casinos can not just change the payout of a slot machine at a whim. Each slot machine is painstakingly programmed to have a certain payout.  The programming in most online casinos is done by a third party who leases or sells their online casino package to the operator who changes the graphics and create the atmosphere but has no control over the actually functionality of the slot machines.  These third party companies are usually public companies and they are not going to risk their profits for anyone.

4. Online Slot Machines That Have Not Paid Out For While - The Jackpot Is Next! Each spin of some online slot machine is random and is unrelated to the previous spin.  The length of time a slot is played without successful has no influence on whether it is going to payout.  Any slot machine can go months or years without paying its top jackpot.  It maintains the programmed payoff percentage simply by paying smaller wins.  Free game downloads are available at Bet Online Casino, Big Brother Betting or Bingo New.
